At Miami Dentistry Center we are committed to serving our community. From a very young age, Dr. Merlo-Quiñones became involved with a nonprofit organization called Amor en Accion where she was able to serve the poor in the rural areas of the Dominican Republic. During summer missionary trips she coordinated dental treatment and education to local children who otherwise would never have had dental treatment. Working in collaboration with the CHARLEE Program, Dr. Merlo-Quiñones also provides dental care for local foster children.
As a mother of three children, Dr. Merlo-Quiñones is passionate about educating children about their dental health. She volunteers her time every year during dental health month to educating school children. Our goal is to teach them to be excited about dental health and help them maintain their teeth for a lifetime.
Dr. Merlo-Quiñones has also served as a Mentor for The Girl Scouts. During this program young girls are able to ask questions and explore different career paths and encouraging them to reach their full potential promoting professionals and leaders amongst women.
